The former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has stated that he has been ‘impressed’ with Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil this season.
Ozil has already provided 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Thierry Henry’s record tally of 20.
“I have been so impressed with what Ozil has done this season,” Redknapp told SkySports.
“He is one of the few players which teams have to give special attention to.”
Ozil is expected to make a return to Arsenal’s starting line-up after missing last weekends encounter with Stoke with a foot injury.
The Gunners drew in the 27-year-old’s absence and will be hoping Ozil can add to his assist tally against Chelsea.
Arsenal are currently in second place behind Leicester City but will move back to the top of the table if they can record a victory over their London based rivals tomorrow.
