Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to wish Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng a speedy recovery.

Boateng limped out of Bayern’s 2-1 victory at Hamburg last week and a scan in Munich revealed the full extent of the problem with the player facing three months on the sidelines.

Ozil posted a picture of himself alongside Boateng with the caption, “Get well soon, Bro!”

The Germany international has 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Henry’s record record tally of 20.

Ozil has failed to deliver an assist in his last two performances but the 27-year-old will be looking to make amends next week when Arsenal take on Southampton.

Ozil’s 100th game for the north London based club ended in a disappointing defeat. Arsenal have now slipped down to third place and are just two points ahead of their bitter rivals Tottenham.
