Barcelona have won all eight games since Arda Turan made his debut in the 4-1 victory over rivals Espanyol in the Spanish Cup.
The reigning La Liga champions have scored 25 goals and conceded just five times since Turan played his first game.
Turan’s impact has not got unnoticed. West Ham boss Slaven Bilic revealed that he believes Turan is shining at Barcelona but also underlined the importance of his time at Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid in helping him bemuse the player he is today.
“Arda Turan may still have become a good player at Galatasaray and he was successful there but he really matured at Atletico Madrid and became a genuinely great player,” Bilic told the Hurriyet.
“And look at him now shining at Barcelona.”
Bilic coached Galatasaray rivals Besiktas for two seasons before being appointed West Ham manager over the summer.
Turan joined Barcelona on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid after winning every domestic Spanish trophy with the Rojiblancos and all European cups except the Champions League.
Barcelona have gone 25 games unbeaten and Turan has two assists since making his debut at the start of the month.
The bearded winger made an appearance in the 2-1 victory over his former side Atleti yesterday to help his side go three points clear at the top of the table.
