Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has stated that Jurgen Klopp is playing him in his favoured position.
The 22-year-old played in a number of different roles under previous manager Brendan Rodgers, who signed him from Bayer Leverkusen.
Can spent the majority of last season playing in defence as part of a three-back and at right back.
“Since Jurgen Klopp came I have always been played in midfield, which I think is my favourite position, and I like to play a lot there,” Can told Sky Sports News.
The Germany international has been a permanent fixture in Liverpool’s three-man midfield since the appointment of Klopp. Can also played in midfield while at Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool take on last placed Aston Villa next in the league on Sunday 14 February and Can is expected to start after being rested against West Ham.
Can started in the 2-2 draw against Sunderland last weekend and managed to complete the highest number of passes over the weekend.
