Fenerbahce star Luis Nani could join Chinese giants Shanghai Shenhua on a €8.5 million move in the summer according to football agent Marko Kirdemir.
The agent was hired by Shenhua to represent the club in their attempt to sign the Portuguese international.
Kirdemir revealed that Shenhua made a €10 million bid for Nani in January which was turned down by the Yellow Canaries.
The agent also revealed that Fenerbahce would be forced to consider an €8.5 million offer in the summer as it would trigger his release clause which becomes active in the summer transfer window.
“The only official offer Fenerbahce received for Nani was from Shanghai Shenhua which was for €8+2 million and I was surprised they did not let him go,” Kirdemir told Fanatik.
“Nani’s release clause will be set at €8.5 million a year into his contract and the Shenhua will probably make another bid.”
Nani joined the Yellow Canaries for £4.2 million and has been in impressive form since joining.
The Portugal international has seven assists and has scored eight goals in 29 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
The 28-year-old is currently rated the third best player in the Turkish Super League according to Whoscored with a 7.50 rating.
