The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes in the Red’s three man midfield.
Can received a rating of 8.8 from WhoScored. The Germany international made five tackles, made three interceptions and one clearance. Can maintained a passing accuracy of 89% and took 87 touches on the ball.
The former Bayern Munich man also scored his first goal of the season in the 58th minute during his sides emphatic victory.
Can started in central-midfield and scored with his first shot on target. The Germany international of Turkish origin now has a grand total of two goals in all competitions this season.
Liverpool moved into 8th place on 38 points following the victory while Aston Villa remain cemented to the bottom of the table.
The Red’s take on FC Augsburg in the Europa League later this week.
