Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has stated that he will try convert more of the chances created by Mesut Ozil in to goals this season
The France international spoke to his clubs official website in the lead up their FA Cup clash on Saturday against Hull City and next week’s encounter with Barcelona.
“Maybe I have to give him [Ozil] more assists then,” Giroud told Arsenal’s official website.
“But it’s his job in the team to try to link the game and connect the team. He is our playmaker and his football vision on the pitch is amazing.”
Ozil has been in impressive form this season with six goals in all competitions as well as 17 assists in the Premier League – the highest in the league.
Arsenal moved two points within leaders Leicester City following their victory over the Foxes last weekend. Ozil provided the assist for his sides winning goal in the final seconds of the game.
