Barcelona travel to London to take on Arsenal in the Champions League Last 16 first-leg tie at the Emirates stadium on Tuesday 23 February.
The match will see Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Özil take on Barcelona. However, Turkish international Arda Turan will miss the first-leg due to being suspended.
Özil is one of three ethnic Turks in the current Germany national team setup alongside Emre Can and İlkay Gündoğan.
The game will be officiated by a Turkish refereeing team led by Cüneyt Çakır. The experienced Turkish referee was named the third best referee in the world by the the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
Çakır’s assistants will be Bahattin Duran and Tarık Ongun while Cem Satman will be the fourth referee. Meanwhile Hüseyin Göçek and Barış Şimşek will be the linesman during the tie.
The 37-year-old referee became the first Turkish referee in 40 years to officiate at a World Cup in Brazil 2014 and also officiated the Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus last season.
