Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has claimed Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil is inconsistent.
The Spain international has four assists and three goals from midfield for the Red Devils this season.
“For me there’s only one Iniesta,’ said Herrera. I love playing against him…to tell my grandchildren in the future – but I did suffer as a rival,” Herrera was quoted as saying the the Metro.
“Arsenal have Francis Coquelin, Ozil…[But] Mesut isn’t so consistent, although he makes the difference when he’s on his day.”
Herrera’s statement comes despite Ozil being on an impressive run of form. The World Cup winner has 17 assists in the league this season – the highest in the Premier League.
Ozil also provided the assist for the Gunners last-gasp goal that saw them cut the gap between themselves and league leaders Leicester City to two points last week.
Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford this weekend in the Premier League.
