Liverpool will face fellow Premier League giants and rivals Manchester United in the Europa League Round of 32 following the draw that took place in the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzterland.
The Reds qualified for the Last 16 after knocking Bundesliga outfit Augsburg out of the Europa League Round of 32.
Germany international of Turkish origin Emre Can will embark on his first Last 16 clash since joining the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool crashed out of the competition in the Round of 32 stage last season after being knocked out against Turkish Super League side Beşiktaş.
Manchester United booked a place in the Last 16 after beating Midtjylland 5-1 yesterday at Old Trafford to go through 6-3 on aggregate.
