On-loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic was pictured at the Melwood training grounds on Mamadou Sakho’s Snapchat.

Markovic joined Fenerbahce on a temporary move over the summer but has missed the last few games due to injury.

The 22-year-old has returned to training and could feature on the weekend which is why it was a bit of a surprise seeing him back at Liverpool.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is reported to be planning restructuring the team over the summer but Markovic is expected to escape the summer clear-out at the club according to the Daily Mail.

Markovic was signed from Benfica for £17.5 million but failed to settle in but was played out of position for most his time spent under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers.

There has been no official word from either club but the Turkish media was quick to claim that the Reds are in talks over discussing Markovic’s future.

Fenerbahce are keen on keeping Markovic on at the club but the decision will rest with Klopp whether to release the Serbian international or keep him on at Liverpool.

Fenerbahce are currently first in the Super League, competing in the Turkish Cup and recently reached the Europa League Last 16 where they will face FC Braga.
