Arsenal got themselves back in the title race after beating Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park to move eight points within Premier League leaders Leicester City.
Mesut Ozil urged his teammates to not give up hope of lifting the Premier League title going into the game and it seems to have done the trick.
“A few weeks ago they told us we can win the league so everybody can change their position,” he told Arsenal’s official website.
“We have to win our games, especially at home. So our next game will be very important for us.”
Olivier Giroud was dropped for the second week running after a poor run of results and it was his replacement Danny Welbeck who opened the scoring on seven minutes with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez involved in the lead up with a brilliant passing combination.
Nigerian international Iwobi has also kept his place in the side after starting against Barcelona mid-week and scored the Gunners second just before the half-time break.
