Arsenal ended a poor run of form that saw them win just one of eight games to beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park.

Mesut Ozil started for the Gunners and while he did not provide the assist for Danny Welbeck’s opening goal he was directly involved in the buildup.

Ozil made the highest number of passes for the Gunners (58) at an 86 percent accuracy to help his side keep possession and launch attacking moves.

The World Cup winner took his overall tally for chances created this season up to 116 and was involved in most of the attacking moves taking 71 touches of the ball – second highest after Hector Bellerin.

Ozil’s celebratory mood was however, muted following news of a suicide bomb attack at in Istanbul that killed at least four people and injured 36 people according to Turkish officials.

The Arsenal star was born in Germany into a Turkish family and regularly visits Istanbul.
