Besiktas president Fikret Orman has cleared up the contract details of star striker Mario Gomez.
Gomez joined Besiktas on a one-year loan from Fiorentina over the summer transfer window with a buy-out clause option.
The details of the release clause and the loan deal were however, never fully disclosed.
Orman has now revealed that Besiktas have a two-year loan deal with Gomez that will run into the second season as long as both sides give the go ahead.
The Sabah newspaper has however, claimed that Manchester City have held talks with Gomez.
City could face competition from Manchester United who have also expressed an interest in the striker according to Telegraph and FoxSport last month.
Gomez is reported to be happy at Besiktas but if he does return to Fiorentina and if the Italian club decide to sell him the Black Eagles will make 50 percent of the transfer fee.
The experienced striker is in great form for the Black Eagles scoring 21 times already this season playing a major role in his side currently being first in the Turkish Super League.
