Fenerbahce star Luis Nani revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo helped him settle in at Manchester United after he joined from Sporting Lisbon.
Nani stated that Ronaldo taught him everything needed to adapt to life in England from traffic rules to dealing with the media.
The Portuguese international told UEFA: “Yes, I lived in his house to begin with – me, Ronaldo and Anderson. That was very important for us, because we were so young and he had all the experience. He knew how to deal with everything [in England] – the streets, the cameras, the driving rules – because it’s so different in England compared with Portugal.”
Ronaldo also helped Nani in preparing for training and installed the confidence he needed to perform at the highest level.
“He helped a lot and he gave me a lot of advice in training. He was very important and I was so happy about that – to have a team-mate from my own country who gave us that little bit of help to make us that little bit more confident,” he added.
The 29-year-old won four Premier League titles, the Champions League and the World Club Cup during his time at Manchester United.
Nani joined Fenerbahce on a £4.5 million transfer from Manchester United over the summer transfer window and has hit the ground running in Turkey.
The Portuguese international has 10 goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season.
