England extended their win streak to 11 games after coming from behind to beat Germany 3-2 at the Berlin, Olympic stadium.
Liverpool star Emre Can started for Germany but was deployed as a full-back which must have brought back memories – or nightmares – of Brendan Rodgers who also used him in the same position.
Can has been moved into central midfield under the stewardship of newly appointed manager Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool but it seems Germany boss Joachim Low has different plans for the young midfield.
Low has used Can as a full-back every time the 22-year-old has been called up for national team duty.
Can is probably best suited to central midfield with his physical strength as well as his style of play and was exploited a few times defensively which was epitomised by the Dele Alli nutmeg.
The Tottenham midfielder sparked a social media storm when he threaded the ball through the legs of Can with a brilliant piece of skill and trickery.
