Barcelona star Arda Turan has been closely linked with Arsenal over the past week with rumours of a part-exchange deal involving Mesut Ozil surfacing.
In an interesting turn of events Turan revealed that he though he could have ended up playing for Arsenal over the summer.
Speaking in an interview with Ara Diari Turan said: “I felt that if I play really well, I will end up signing for Barcelona, because my style suits theirs. I also thought if I play well I could end up at Arsenal.”
Arsenal are interested in Barcelona star Arda Turan according to Spanish sports newspaper AS which claims the Gunners have expressed an interest in the Turkish international winger.
Barca are also reported to be considering offering the Turkish international as well as Munir and Sandro in a part-exchange deal for Mesut Ozil.
Turan was not actually asked about Arsenal which has resulted in further speculation regarding interest from the north London based club.
The Turkish international was closely linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer transfer window before his move to Barcelona.
Turan ended up joining Barcelona on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid but had to wait six-months on the sidelines due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.
The bearded winger has two goals and four assists in 17 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions since making his debut in January.
