Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is in the same class as Arsenal star Mesut Ozil according to Brazilian footballing legend Ronaldinho.
The former World Cup winner lavished praise on Firmino describing him as being among the best in the world.
Ronaldinho went as far as to claim Firminho will go down as one of the Liverpool greats.
“I didn’t ever question if he would be a great player for Liverpool, I knew that he would be,” Ronaldinho told the Daily Express.
“He’s one of the best at what he does in the world. He’s in the same class as Ozil, (David) Silva, Iniesta, and all the other great players who play that role.”
Firminho has been in impressive form this season but it may be just a little early to compare him to the likes of Ozil, David Silva and Iniesta – all who have won World Cup trophies.
Ozil has provided more assists than any other player in the Premier League this season. Despite setting up the most goals and creating the most chances (119) Arsenal have actually scored the fewest number of goals in the top four – which probably explains why they are third and not leaders.
Arsenal take on West Ham next in the London derby while Liverpool head to Germany for the first-leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash against Borussia Dortmund.
