Antonio Conte will take charge of reigning champions Chelsea after Euro 2016 and one of his first moves could be for Fenerbahce star Simon Kjar according to Fanatik.
The Turkish sports newspaper claims that Conte is keen on the Denmark international and that the Blues could make an offer over the summer transfer window.
The report also states that Fenerbahce would not consider offers under €15 million for their star man.
This is not the first time Kjaer has been linked with a move abroad over recent weeks. In fact the same newspaper claimed that Manchester United, PSG and Atletico Madrid all want the 27-year-old.
Simon Kjaer’s media adviser Lars Hendel dismissed the claims and gave Turkish-football.com quotes from Kjaer’s agent Mikkel Beck.
Beck denied the rumours, saying: “Simon has had a fantastic season, so I understand, that you get a lot of rumours, but as his agent I have heard nothing – and Simon is only focused on Fenerbahce and helping the club to win the title that they deserve.”
“Simon is happy at Fenerbahce and is not looking for a new club.”
The Danish international joined the Yellow Canaires on an €8 million move from French outfit Lille last summer and has established himself as a first team regular.
Kjaer is one of the Istanbul giants most highly values – and paid – players with three years remaining on his contract.
