Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has been included in the 27 man preliminary Germany squad ahead of Euro 2016.
The squad will be reduced down to 23 in time for the summer competition. Germany manager Joachim Löw has stuck with Ozil who starred in the World Cup 2014.
Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger has also been included in the squad despite missing the majority of the season due to injury.

Ozil stared in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League on the final day of the season.
The former Real Madrid star has now setup 19 goals in the league this season, just one short of equalling the Premier League record of 20 set by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
The north London based side would have finished third had Tottenham even drawn but Newcastle who had already been relegated, managed to beat Spurs.
