Fenerbahce are interested in extending Lazar Markovic’s loan deal for another season.
The Serbia international is currently on loan at the Yellow Canaries on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The daily Turkish sports paper AMK claim that Fenerbahce have asked Liverpool to expend Markovic’s loan by another year.
Markovic has been ruled out of action until the end of the season with a hamstring injury and now missed a total of 181 days of football. The Serbian international has scored just twice and provided three assists in 20 games for the Canaries.
The former Benfica man has missed 96 days due to injuries and been forced to miss 20 games for Fenerbahce as a result. Markovic had established himself as a first team regular until his most recent hamstring injury.
However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently stated that Markovic may have a future at Liverpool next season.
