Mesut Ozil’s summer holiday has come to an end as he joined the Germany national team squad ahead of Euro 2016.
The 27-year-old has been included in Joachim Löw’s provisional squad and is expected to be included in the 23 man squad which will travel to France this summer.
Ozil uploaded an image of himself alongside his Germany national teammates along with the caption, “After my short journey through the Arab world, the preparations for the #Euro2016 have finally started!”
Ozil visited Dubai before travelling to Jordan for a charity game against child refugees.
The World Cup winner then made his pilgrimage to Mecca before returning to Dubai.
Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid back in September 2013 for a club record £42 million and helped Arsenal break their long wait for silverware with back-to-back FA Cup wins.
Germany take on Slovakia in an international friendly next weekend.
