“The youngsters fear that they will not be given a chance among the 14 foreign players under the new regulations,” Carlos said speaking to Turkish-football.com reporters at the Mercedes-Benz Aegean Cup.

“I tell them there is no need to fear, there will be more competition and they will have more to learn and gain more experience. I played among Raul and Ronaldo and it made me a better player, as long as you keep developing and use this to your advantage there is nothing to fear.”

Under the new regulations teams will be able to select 11 foreign players in the starting lineup.

The current foreign player ruling states that only five non-Turkish players are permitted to play at any one time and three foreign players are allowed on the bench.

TFF president Yıldırım Demirören also confirmed that the current rules will be implemented for a minimum of four years.

Carlos who has experience both playing and coaching in Turkey, signed a one and a half year deal with Akhisar last week.

The former Real Madrid star recently resigned as manager of Sivasspor after a poor start to the season.
