Besiktas have agreed personal terms with the Belgium international Christian Benteke however, Liverpool are unwilling to allow their striker to leave on loan.

Benteke’s agent Eris Kismet told Turkish-Football that the Black Eagles struck a deal with the powerful striker that would have seen him receive £3.91 million however, Liverpool are keen to recoup the £32 million they spent on him when they signed Benteke from Aston Villa last summer.

According to ESPN, Benteke is the subject of multiple bids from Crystal Palace while The Times claim that Alan Pardew’s side will table an improved offer following the sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton.

Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi recently confirmed that the club want Benteke on loan.

“Benteke is a player we are interested, we are pushing for him and would want him to be transferred to the club.” Cebi revealed to Turkish-Football.

Liverpool want to sell Benteke and head coach Jurgen Klopp has made it clear he has no plans for him next season after dropping him from the team that beat Arsenal 4-3.

Benteke provided six assists and scored ten goals in 42 appearances for Liverpool last season.

The Reds would only consider a loan deal if they are unable to find a club to match Benteke’s asking price going into the final week of the transfer window.
