Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand sung Mesut Özil‘s praises following his assist against Crystal Palace on the weekend.
Arsenal won the game 2-1 and Özil put in a Man of the Match performance according to Whoscored scoring a rating of 7.9.
Ferdinand was impressed with Özil’s assist and his technical ability despite describing the World Cup winner as looking lacklustre at times.

The 26-year-old provided his first assist of the season against Palace in the London derby.
Özil provided the assist for Olivier Giroud’s opening goal against Palace and made the most key passes in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal moved into 11th place on three points after two games following the win over the Eagles.
Özil is expected to start for the Gunners when they take on Liverpool next in the league at the Emirates. The North London based side are yet to win a home game this season after losing their opening match against West Ham 2-0.
