Spartak Moscow manager Murat Yakın has revealed that he received offers from England and Germany before moving to Russia.

“Everything is going well in Russia, the league will start again in March,” Yakın told Fanatik.
“I had offers to go to England and Germany before coming here but I wanted to gain some experience in Russia.
“People were generally surprised that I came here after leaving Basel but this is my first venture outside of Switzerland and I can say it is going to plan right now.”
Yakın was closely linked with a move to Southampton after parting ways with Basel.
Yakın was born in Basel, Switzerland to Turkish parents and represented Switzerland at international level as a footballer.
The Switzerland born coach won back-to-back league titles in his two years in charge of Basel as well as overseeing strong Champions League campaigns.
