Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Emre Can will prove his ability in midfield.
“He’s offered real good balance, is tactically very good for such a young player and in the future will go on and show he’s a top midfield player also,” Rodgers told official Liverpool website.

Can has started the last 10 Liverpool games in defence despite being signed from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer as a midfielder.
Rodgers revealed that he has used Can in defence because he likes to have midfielders who can play out from defence.
“I always like to have at least one midfield player in my squad who I know can play from behind as well. Emre can do that,” he added.
“I’d seen him before playing at centre-half in a four, so I know he is comfortable to play in that position.
Can was used as a defender and full-back from time to time during his time playing in the Bundesliga.
The 21-year-old has one goal and one assist in 19 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
