Chelsea transfer news: PSG join race for in-demand Denmark international Simon Kjaer
Ligue 1 reigning champions Paris Saint Germain are the latest side to be linked with a move for Fenerbahce’s in-demand centre back Simon Kjaer.
According to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Ligue 1 duo PSG and Lyon have established contact with the Denmark international’s representatives.
Per-the-source, Olympique de Marseille are also interested in Kjaer. The experinced defender previously played in France for Lille.
Turkish-Football reported back in January that Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Kjaer however, Fenerbahce turned down all offers for the 27-year-old over the winter transfer window.
Fenerbahce may be forced into selling the likes of Simon Kjaer over the summer due to their financial situation. The Istanbul based club are currently being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play.
Kjaer have been in impressive form for Fenerbahce this season.He was selected in the Europa League Team of the Group Stage.
Chelsea take on Manchester United tonight in the FA Cup. Antonio Conte’s side currently sit at the top of the Premier League table and have a comfortable ten point buffer between themselves and Tottenham.
