Bernardo Silva transfer to Barcelona blocked by Arda Turan
Barcelona missed out on the opportunity to sign Monaco’s Bernardo Silva due to the Turkey international Arda Turan.
The Spanish outlet El Mundo Deportivo have stated that Barca wanted to transfer Bernardo last summer however, the move broke down when Turan rejected a move to China.
Bernardo was the star of the show during Monaco’s victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League last week.
Turan meanwhile was left out of Luis Enrique’s squad ahead of the 4-2 victory over Valencia on Sunday.
The 30-year-old’s previous appearance was during Barca’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Deportivo.

The Turkey international has provided seven assists and scored 13 goals in 29 apperances this season.
Turan has been linked with a move away from the Catalan giants in recent weeks but is settled in Barcelona and has another three-years remaining on his contract.
The former Galatasaray star joined Barcelona for £24m (BBC) from Atletico Madrid back in 2015.
Barcelona’s next La Liga fixture is against Granada on April 2.
