Arsenal move closer to first summer transfer after entering ‘advanced talks’ with £25m midfield target who recently brought London property

Arsenal have entered ‘advanced talks’ with Barcelona star Arda Turan according to the Sun.

Per the source, Turan is set to leave the Camp Nou after falling out of favour with Luis Enrique.

The report does cite ‘sources from Turkey’ and a report from CNN Turk who claim that Barcelona will accept a £25 million bid for Turan later on in the article.

Enrique has actually been a staunch defender of Turan and turned down a move from China earlier in the season.

Marca reported that Barcelona rejected a €50 million offer in January from an unnamed Chinese club for Turan on the request of Enrique.

The Spanish manager played a major role in signing Turan from Atletico Madrid in 2015.

Turan does face an uncertain future due to the fact Enrique will be leaving at the end of the season.

Turkish-Football did report yesterday that Turan is prepared to switch Barcelona for a move to London this summer.

The 30-year-old is prepared to turn down a mega money offer from China to play for a London based side in the Premier league.

Turan did recently buy property in London which added fuel to rumours that he could be set for a Premier League move.

The experienced attacking midfielder does have another three-years remaining on his contract and is happy at Barcelona.

Ahmet Bulut – Arda Turan’s agent – has denied all previous transfer reports linking Turan with a Barcelona exit when asked by Turkish-Football.

Turan has 13 goals and seven assists in all competitions for Barcelona this season.
