‘You achieved the impossible’ – Man City star praises Fenerbahce being crowned Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champions
Fenerbahce beat Olympiacos 80-64 on Sunday, winning the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague basketball tournament for the first time in the history of the club.
The Yellow Canaries also become the first Turkish club to have ever won the tournament.
Manchester City midfielder of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan praised Fenerbahce following their triumph on his official Instagram page.

Gundogan wrote a message in Turkish which translates to the following: “Fenerbahce have become the first Turkish Euro League champions, you achieved the impressible, well done my friends.”

Gundogan hails from a successful sporting family, his cousin Naz Aydemir won the 2017 Club World Championship with Vakifbank Istanbul and the 2015 Montreux Volley Masters games with Turkey.
