Man United & Besiktas flop Bebe in talks over shock England return

Portuguese striker Bebe could be set for a shock return to football in England according to the Daily Mail.

Per the source, the Eibar forward in in talks with Wolves over a £1 million deal.

Bebe was of course famously snapped up by Manchester United for a £7.4 million fee in 2010 in one of the most bizarre transfer moves in recent memory.

The striker made only seven appearances in all competitions for United, scoring twice.

Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of United at the time and revealed that had not even watched Bebe play before signing him.

Ferguson was quoted by Guardian as saying: “I didn’t see any videos of him. It’s the first time.”

The striker was loaned to Besiktas in 2011 where he only made four appearances.

Bebe suffered a cruciate knee injury but was later caught out in a nightclub and forced to train with the reserves for unprofessional conduct.

The 26-year-old joined Eibar last season and went onto score five goals in 26 appearances for the La Liga outfit.
