Jorge Mendes holds three-hour Barcelona talks to negotiate Arsenal target exit

Super-agent Jorge Mendes held three-hour long talks with Barcelona over the futures of several players, with Arsenal target Arda Turan most notable among them.

Ahmet Bulut is Turan’s agent however, his company are tied to Mendes and they have worked together on several deals.

Mendes has been drafted on behalf of several clubs to negotiate a swift exit according to Mundo Deportivo.

Per the source, Mendes presented offers from the Premier League, Serie A, Turkey, China and Sporting Lisbon.

We can rule out Turkey and China as Bulut has already revealed to Turkish-Football that even if Turan leaves it will not be back home or to the far-east.

That leaves, Arsenal, Inter and Sporting Lisbon as the interested parties that remain attractive to the attacking midfielder.

Out of the three clubs mentioned only Arsenal and Inter would realistically be able to cover his transfer fee and pay his wages.

The North London outfit are prepared to offer £26 million [€30m] for Turan according to Marca.

Bulut has also been recently spotted in Italy holding talks with Inter.

Turan does have another three-years remaining on his contract but he was brought in by Luis Enrique.

Recently appointed head coach Ernesto Valverde does not appear to have plans for the 30-year-old next season.

The former Atletico Madrid star will be able to fully focus on club football next season after retiring from international football last month.
