‘We are in talks’ – £22m star has entered negotiations with Italian giants according to agent

Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu has entered talks with AC Milan according to his agent Bektas Demirtas.

The agent confirmed that negotiations are underway but that he could not disclose any further details.

“AC Milan are one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Bektas was quoted as saying by German newspaper WAZ.

“We are currently in talks but I cannot reveal any further details, this is all I will say on the matter for now.”

The Italian giants could end up facing competition from the Premier League.

The BILD recently linked Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton with the Turkish international.

Per the source, Calhanoglu could be available for £22 million despite having a £32.5 million release clause.

A source close to Calhanoglu revealed to Turkish-Football that the 23-year-old wants to play either Premier League or Spanish football once he leaves Bayer.

Like Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, Calhanoglu was born in Germany but he represents Turkey at international level.

The free-kick maestro had seven goals and seven assists in all competitions before receiving the playing ban.
