Besiktas are reported to be targeting the 23-year-old as a potential replacement for Oguzhan Ozyakup should he leave this window.
The Eagles are waiting for a response from Calhanoglu but are well aware of AC Milan’s bid and would not be able to match their fee.
Sky Italia report that Bayer want €25 million for Calhanoglu, meanwhile AC Milan are currently willing to offer €21 million.
The Premier League sides interested in the attacking midfielder would however, be able to make a bid to rival that of the Serie A outfit.
BILD report that Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton are all in the race for Calhanoglu.
The clubs mentioned look to be running out of time to sign the Germany born star but have yet to launch an official bid.
Calhanoglu will be ready for pre-season training after serving a four month playing ban for breach of contract after signing for Trabzonspor aged 17 but never joining the Super Lig outfit.
