‘About to Introduce LMAO’ – Arsenal fans coin new nickname for next seasons attacking line on social media following Lacazette transfer
Barcelona have the MSN – Messi, Suarez, Neymar – Real Madrid have the BBC – Bale, Benzema, Crisiano – could Arsenal be on about to jump on the bandwagon?
Fans of the North London club were quick to create the LMAO nickname following the signing of Alexandre Lacazette and reports that Mahrez could be signing.
The Arsenal LMAO is not referring to the the internet slang (laughing my a** off), the nickname refers to record signing Lacazette, strongly-linked target Riyad Mahrez, as well as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

It is a little early to start using the nickname just yet, Mahrez has not actually signed, meanwhile Sanchez and Ozil face uncertain futures as they have just 12 months left on their contract but have not extended their deal.
We took a look at how fans responded to the new LMAO nickname on social media.

I just realized if Arsenal sign Lacazette and Mahrez and we get to keep Alexis and Özil that makes LMAO

Arsenal could still make the LMAO happen even if Sanchez were to leave, Alex Iwobi or Aaron Ramsey could replace him.
Or A may stand for Alex Iwobi or Aaron Ramsey if Alexis leaves

This could be a tricky nickname to get used to as it has a double meaning.
