‘I’ll definitely have fun with him’ – Arsenal contract rebel drops massive hint that he will stay after Lacazette

Arsenal contract rebel Mesut Ozil has dropped another hint that he will be staying at the club next season.

Ozil waxed lyrical about new signing Alexandre Lacazette and underlined that he is looking forward to ‘have fun with him on the pitch’ in his latest interview.

The only way the playmaker of Turkish origin will be able to play with him is if he stays.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” Ozil told Arsenal Player.

“He’s a very good striker who has scored many goals in Ligue 1, not just this season but in previous seasons too. We’re really happy to have such a class striker here with us.

“From what I’ve heard, he’s meant to be very good, always hungry for goals and ice-cold when he gets into a scoring position. My friends who follow the French league know him well and have told me that I’ll definitely have fun with him on the pitch.”

Ozil also stated that he is please to be able to assist the French international in finding the back of the net next season.

“I hope that he’ll be able to take us further with his goals. I’m sure he’s happy to be here and to be able to play with us, and we’re pleased to be able to assist him and help him to score as many goals as possible,” he added.

Despite his latest comments Ozil still has just 12 months remaining on his contract.

The 28-year-old has yet to sign an extension, leading to rumours that a summer exit could be on the cards.

Ozil has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce and was recently on holiday in the country but it now appears he will be staying in North London – for the 2017-18 season at least.

The Arsenal star did also recently renew his executive box at the Emirates and will join his teammates for pre-sesaon training.
