Arsenal transfer news: Euro giants block Gunners Swap bid for Portugal international, includes Mesut Ozil
Serie A giants Inter Milan have rejected Arsenal’s approach to use Germany international playmaker Mesut Ozil as part of a swap deal.
Ozil’s Arsenal future is cast in doubt with under ten months remaining on his contract with the north London-based club.
According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato, Arsenal were considering a January trade with Inter for the Portugal international Joao Mario.

However, the report states that but Inter are not to keen on the offer. The Seire A giants will be able to sign Ozil for free next summer if he is unable to strike a new deal with Arsenal.
Meanwhile, the Mirror states that Ozil wants a mega £300,000-a-week deal if he is to stay ay Arsenal.
Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Ozil in recent weeks.
Ozil could feature for Arsenal tonight when they take on BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
