‘Arsenal want to sign him’ – Gunners keen on signing €38m Bayern Munich wonder-kid target
Former Trabzonspor manager Sadi Tekelioglu has confirmed reports that Arsenal want 18-year-old wonder-kid Abdulkadir Omur.
Tekelioglu also revealed that Atletico Madrid are in the race for the Turkey U-19 international.
“Arsenal want to sign Abdulkadir,” Tekelioglu was quoted as saying in the Sun.
“I heard that Atletico Madrid are interested in him as well. But Arsenal are ahead of them in the race to sign Omur.
“Arsene Wenger does a good job when it comes to discovering young players.
“Abdulkadir will be a success when he moves to Europe.”
Omur broke into the Trabzonspor first team against Genclerbirligi this season.
The rising star transformed the game, providing an assist for the equaliser and playing a key role in his side eventually winning the game 3-1.

German giants Bayern Munich have been so impressed with Omur that they have made a bid worth €38 million according to the Aksam newspaper.
The youngster also setup a goal in the 2-2 draw against reigning Super Lig champions Besiktas.
Despite his young age Omur is expected to play an important first-team role for Trabzonspor this season.
Omur has a total of two assist in five appearances for Trabzonspor in all competitions.
Emre Sarigul of Turkish-Football included Omur in the Guardian newspaper ‘Next Generation 2016: 60 of the best young talents in world football’ list last year.
