Tottenham transfer news: Spurs scout €20m striker for third time, Newcastle also interested
Premier League giants Tottenham have stepped up their interest in Besiktas star striker Cenk Tosun.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months and came close to joining Crystal Palace last summer.
A source close to Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football that Tottenham scouts were monitoring Cenk during Turkey’s World Cup qualification clash with Iceland.
This is the third time since the summer that Tottenham scouts have watched Tosun.
Per the source, Newcastle United also had scouts present at the game watching the Besiktas striker. The Istanbul based club have however valued their star man at €20 million.

Tosun has been in impressive form for the Black Eagles with four goals in nine games this season. The German-born striker also scored an incredible strike against FC Porto on the UEFA Champions League.
Tottenham take on Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend as they look to return to winning ways.
