’10th member’ – Man United star welcomes latest member to ‘Common Goal’ movement
Manchester United star Juan Mata helped launch the Common Goal movement at the start of the season.
The campaign encourages footballers to pledge a minimum of 1% of their wages to a collective fund.
The fun is allocated to football charities that create the greatest impact worldwide according to the official Common Goal website.
Mata was later joined by German national team players Mats Hummels and
Serge Gnabry, Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini and the US world female football champions Alex Morgan
and Megan Rapinoe.

The movement now has it’s first Turkish member in Fenerbahce full-back Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
The Turkish international has become the 10th member to join and represents the sixth nationality.
Kaldirim revealed it was an honour to join the campaign and shared a short video on his official Twitter account regarding his decision.
The experienced full-back also called on his fellow teammates to also take part.
