103 goal Arsenal striker linked with January move to Champions League giants
Arsenal star striker Olivier Giroud could be on his way out of the north London-based club in January.
The 31-year-old has been warned that he needs to play more games to boost his World Cup hopes.
Giroud has played just 234 minutes of Premier League football this season after dropping down the pecking order at Arsenal after Alexandre Lacazette’s signing.
The Turkish outlet Fotomac claim Besiktas are interested in signing Giroud on loan until the end of the season. The Black Eagles are on the lookout for a new striker following reports linking top-scorer Cenk Tosun with an Istanbul exit.
Giroud signed Arsenal from Ligue 1 side Montpellier back in 2012.
The 31-year-old has scored an impressive 103 goals since arriving in North London.
Giroud was linked with moves to Everton, West Ham and Marseille during the summer transfer window but opted to stay in north London.
Arsenal suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Saturday. Arsene Wenger’s side face Southampton in the league this weekend as they look to return to winning ways.
