Liverpool sweat over star midfielder as Real Madrid join race
Liverpool star Emre Can could be set to leave Anfield unless he signs a new contract deal.
Can will be a free agent at the end of the season unless an agreement is reached.
The midfielder of Turkish origin has had no shortage of interest from across Europe.
Italian giants Juventus have been closely linked with the 23-year-old.
A source close to Can has revealed to Turkish-Football that Real Madrid have expressed an interest.
The La Liga giants have yet to make an offer or enter formal talks however, they are monitoring the situation and have been in contract with Can’s representatives through third parties.

Despite facing an uncertain future at Liverpool, head coach Jurgen Klopp has shown faith in the midfielder.
Can has received regular first-team action and scored the opener in the Reds 5-1 win over Brighton on Sunday.
Klopp has been keen on the Germany international staying on and a resolution being found to his contract situation.
“We have to be as attractive as possible as a club.”
Talks have however, failed to result in a deal.
Real would be able to enter direct talks with Can in January unless his contract situation is resolved before hand.
Can joined the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 for a reported £10m and has since made 148 appearances, scoring 12 goals and making nine assists.
