Arsenal superstar will join Man Utd in bargain deal, says pundit Shaka Hislop
Former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has shared his thoughts on reports linking Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil with a move to Manchester United.
The 29-year-old playmaker could end up leaving Arsenal for free next summer after failing to pen a new deal with the north London-based club.
Arsenal are still in contract negotiations with Ozil and reportedly tabled an improved offer for the Germany international.
However, ESPN FC pundit Hislop believes Ozil will join Man Utd on a bargain deal.
“This has been going on for quite some time,” Hislop stated on ESPN FC when discussing United’s interest in Ozil.
“I think there is a chance (of it happening). I actually don’t think it happens in January.
“But I’ll put it down as a chance and say it happens.”

Ozil has a good relationship with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. The pair worked together at Real Madrid where they ended up winning the La Liga.
The Germany international started for Arsenal on Wednesday night when the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United. Arsenal have now gone three games without a win in their last three games.
Arsenal face the newly promoted Newcastle United at the Emirates stadium this weekend.
