Dortmund chief Michael Zorc warns Liverpool that ‘very large clubs’ want star midfielder
Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has warned Liverpool that interest in Emre Can is growing among ‘very, very large clubs of Europe’.
Can will be out of contract in June unless he strikes an agreement over an extension.
Zorc told Sky Deutschland: “An excellent player. He is in the sights of the very, very large clubs of Europe.”
Juventus, Manchester City, Dortmund and Bayern Munich are just some of the clubs interested in the midfielder of Turkish origin.

Reports on Italian television network Rai Sport recently claimed that Can has already reached an agreement with Juventus over a five year deal worth €5 million per-season.
Despite the latest reports head coach Jurgen Klopp has continued to give Can first-team opportunities.
Can has four goals and two assists in 21 appearances for the Premier League giants this season.
The 23-year-old has yet to confirm whether he will strike a new deal or leave the Reds.
The Corriere dello Sport meanwhile claim that the Reds have waved the white flag as far as the midfielder of Turkish origin is concerned.
Per the source, Juve’s masterplan involves Sami Khedira having the simple task of convincing Can – or Leon Goretzka – to join.
Juve chief executive Giuseppe Marotta reaffirmed their pursuit of Can but also underlined that they face stiff competition for his signature.
“Emre Can is a name doing the rounds because his contract is running down,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.
“I won’t deny he is a player we too have monitored and many important clubs will try to close a deal over the next few weeks.
“We are tracking the situation, nothing more.”
