Slaven Bilic Reveals Whether Cenk Tosun Is The Man To Replace Man United Striker Romelu Lukaku At Everton

Former Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic knows all about latest Everton signing Cenk Tosun.

Bilic also knows a thing or two about Everton having previously played for the club.

The ex West Ham manager revealed that Tosun is the man to replace Romelu Lukaku at Everton.

The Belgium international joined Manchester United over the summer and Everton have struggled for goals since.

Only Burnley have scored fewer goals than the Toffees in the top half of the Premier League table.

“Cenk is a class number 9, he is the type of player to always be in the right place at the right time and also happens to be a great finisher,” Bilic said in an interview with Fanatik.

“He is decisive and always remains positive, even when he wasn’t a first-choice striker.

“I have no doubt he is going to rock the Premier League. I have so much faith in him.

“He is the player to replace Lukaku.

“When Lukaku joined Manchester United it left a vacuum, Cenk will fit the void.

“I am chuffed for Cenk and the fact he joined Everton makes it more special.”

Tosun worked his way into the Besiktas first team towards the end of Bilic’s spell in charge of Besiktas.

The striker did however, really find his feet under the stewardship of current Besiktas boss Senol Gunes.

The 26-year-old won back to back league titles under the command of Gunes over the past two seasons.

The Turkey international joins Everton having scored 14 goals and provided three assists in all competitions this season.

Tosun played an important role in Besiktas becoming the first Turkish side to finish the Champions League group stage as league leaders – he was directly involved in six of the 11 goals scored in Group G.
