Agent Reveals Crystal Palace Could Have Signed £27m Everton Signing Had Bid Been Made Just Hours Earlier
Crystal Palace were closely linked with latest Everton signing Cenk Tosun before his move to the Merseyside based club.
Palace reportedly came close to signing Tosun over the summer.
Football agent Ceylan Caliskan – who brokered the Tosun to Everton deal – revealed just how close the Eagles came to signing the Turkey international.
Palace could have snapped the striker up over the summer had they submitted their final bid just hours earlier.

“Crystal Palace were already scouting Cenk,” Caliskan said.
“They initially made an £8 million bid which was immediately rejected.
“They then offered £12.5 million spread over three years, this was also rejected.
“Finally they matched Besiktas’ valuation but there was just two to three hours remaining in the transfer window.
“The paperwork couldn’t be completed in time so the deal fell through.”
Tosun distanced himself from Palace afterwards, informing Besiktas that he was no longer interested in signing the Premier League based outfit.
The striker went onto score 14 goals and provide three assists in all competitions.
Tosun was on fire in the Champions League scoring four times and providing two assists for the Group G toppers.
The Turkey international was single-handedly involved in 17 goals this season, Palace meanwhile have struggled in attack scoring just 20 times in the league.
BBC report that Everton forked out £27 million for the striker last Friday.
