Liverpool Prepared To Lose Second Player In January But Only For £30m, £150,000-A-Week Wages Proving A Problem

Liverpool are prepared to sell Daniel Sturridge but only if their £30million valuation is matched according to the Daily Mail.

Per the source, Sturridge has thrown in a transfer request as he wants to leave for more playing time.

Sturridge hopes to make the England squad for World Cup this summer but will need to play more, which is unlikely at Liverpool considering his place in the pecking order.

The 29-year-old has been linked with several clubs but none are currently prepared to pay £30 million or his reported £150,000-a-week wages.

Fenerbahce and Besiktas have both been closely linked with Sturridge and would be able to offer his assurances of playing time.

A source close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that Sturridge is among the names on the shortlist to replace Cenk Tosun, who joined Everton.

Besiktas will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16 but Sturridge would be cup-tied if he were to join.

Neither side would be able to match the Reds asking price or wages, a loan move would however, be welcomed.

Fanatik claim Fenerbahce have entered talks with Sturridge’s representatives.

Per the source, the Istanbul giants want the striker on loan until the end of the season with a buyout clause option.

Sturridge has started just five competitive games this season scoring just three goals and three assists.
