Man United Legend Jokes Cenk Tosun Had Ridiculous Clause Added To Everton Contract
Cenk Tosun made his Everton debut against Tottenham yesterday at Wembley Stadium in the Premier League.
Tosun did provide Wayne Rooney with an assist for what would have been the opening goal but the goalkeeper ruled it offside.
Spurs went onto win the game by a convincing 4-0 scoreline, dominating the 62 minutes the Turkey interantional was on the pitch.
The 26-year-old was an isolated figure up top but was commended for his hard work.
Former Man United defender and current BT Sport Football pundit Rio Ferdinand said that Tosun will have to get used to being left alone in attack.
Ferdinand even joked that he hoped to word ‘isolation’ was included in Tosun’s contract negotiations.

“I hope that the word isolation was mentioned in his contract negotiations when he was signing for Everton,” the Manchester United legend said on BT Sport.
“I don’t think he would have had this too often at Besiktas where he was left up on his own playing.
“But this is what he’s going to have to deal with.”
Ferdinand did praise Tosun’s debut performance highlighting aspects of his game that impressed him.
“But there have been moments where it looks like he’s got some decent hold-up play, some aggression, physicality,” he added.
“With players like (Gylfi) Sigurdsson and (Wayne) Rooney around him with that class and quality, if he can just get that ball tighter together they can start creating some things.”
Tosun will be hoping for a more attacking approach from his side at home when Everton welcome West Brom to Goodison Park next Saturday.
