Cenk Tosun ‘Isolation’ May Be Over As Arsenal Star Set For Everton Medical Ahead Of £20m Transfer

Theo Walcott is set to have a medical at Everton within the next 24 hours before completing his £20 million move from Arsenal according to BBC.

Per the source, the Toffees are expected to pip Southampton to Walcott’s signature.

The England international has fallen out of favor at Arsenal this season but boasts an impressive record scoring 108 goals in 397 appearances.

The 29-year-old would help boost an Everton attack struggling for goals.

Walcott will leave Arsenal after a 12-year stint at the club if the deal does go through as planned.

Allardyce has said Walcott would offer a “goalscoring threat” and that would be welcomed by Cenk Tosun.

The Turkey international was an isolated figure upfront on his debut against Tottenham over the weekend.

Former Man United defender and current BT Sport Football pundit Rio Ferdinand said that Tosun will have to get used to being left alone in attack.

Ferdinand even joked that he hoped to word ‘isolation’ was included in Tosun’s contract negotiations.

“I hope that the word isolation was mentioned in his contract negotiations when he was signing for Everton,” the Manchester United legend said on BT Sport.

“I don’t think he would have had this too often at Besiktas where he was left upon his own playing.

“But this is what he’s going to have to deal with.”

Everton struggled to provide Tosun support but with Walcott in the side it would strengthen the Merseyside based sides attacking options.
